The Canadian Dental Care Plan
Today, by working together, we got it done!
We're launching the Canadian Dental Care Plan and following in the footsteps of Tommy Douglas' vision for head-to-toe-healthcare.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan will cover 9 million Canadians and ensure that nobody has to choose between dental care and putting food on the table.
Thanks to New Democrats, 9 million Canadians will have access to the dental care they deserve.
Seniors, children, people with disabilities will soon be able to get to the dentist without worrying about the cost.
Because of the NDP, families will save thousands of dollars during an affordability crisis. This is the biggest expansion of public healthcare in half a century.
Shamefully, last week the Conservatives again voted no to dental care and putting money back in people’s pockets.
The CDCP will be phased in over 2024, with benefits starting in May and provide essential dental care to millions of Canadians.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is not intended to replace existing plans offered through employers or privately. Instead, it is meant to complement existing provincial and territorial plans and fill in the gaps in coverage.
